Our Story....

We had been staging our own homes/flips for several years, mostly with accessories and small decor but no furniture. In 2022 we had a house that was not selling after a month or two despite a super hot, fast selling marketplace, so we got a quote to stage the home…. we were shocked at the high price to stage the house!  I recall thinking, at that price I may as well buy my own damn furniture, and stage it myself!  And that’s exactly what we did.

It just so happens that design and staging was one of Val’s favorite parts of our house flipping business, so when we saw a staging company going out of business, we quickly bought the company and immediately had enough furniture to stage five or six houses.  That worked out well and so we found another stager in Maryland going out of business and bought all their staging furniture too.   We pruned our inventory over the next two years and added lots of new stuff and got rid of old stuff.

Of course we needed a bigger trailer to move all this stuff from house to house, so we got a 14 ft trailer too.  And a bunch of moving blankets.  And lots of cargo straps.  And a really cool set of shoulder dolly straps that let us easily pick up heavy couches.  And then we needed more storage so we expanded our warehouse to about 2000 square feet to keep it all.

Now, in 2024, we stage several houses simultaneously and rotate our staging furniture from house to house and back to our warehouse, which always needs to be organized.   Thankfully I have an obsession with storage shelves and plastic storage bins that help us stay organized.

So that’s our story…… part of it anyway 🙂
